WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DIE?
Have you considered that lately? God says when we die, all of us will stand before Him to give an account of every word, thought, & action. Will you be innocent or guilty? Not sure – consider this. Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Have you ever lied, stolen, or hated?
The BAD NEWS is this. If you have broken just one of God’s laws, then you have sinned against God. That’s what the Bible means when it says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” -Romans 3:23 The penalty of sin is death and eternal judgment in hell. Do you see your predicament? What will you say to God? Will you have any words of defense? No amount of good deeds will help you. That’s like trying to bribe a good judge by slipping him a five dollar bill. The judge of the universe will not be bribed.
The GOOD NEWS is this. God has provided a way for your penalty to be paid – through Jesus Christ. The Bible expresses it like this: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16 You broke God’s Law and Jesus paid your fine! How do you receive this amazing gift of love? By placing your faith and trust in JESUS ALONE to forgive your sins and assure you an eternity in heaven with Him. Do it today – you may not have tomorrow!
